At the age of 14 my dad gave me a Kodak Instamatic. Ever since then I have been addicted to photography. 

As a kid growing up we spent all our time hanging out at the old Edmonton International Speedway. In those years I was able to watch legendary cars and drivers race in Can-am, Trans-am, F5000, Formula Atlantic and Drag Racing.

In the early 80’s I started attending Formula 1 and Indy Car races around North America. I’ve been lucky enough to shoot with some of the best racing photographers, and have shared their passion of capturing incredible images.

​

After three decades of shooting race cars my lenses are now focusing on wildlife, especially bears. I get the same rush photographing a grizzly in the wild as I used to shooting an Indy Car coming towards me at 175 mph.

​

My wife, Marianne and I now love to travel Western Canada and the U.S looking for our next wildlife adventure.
